Our client is a globally recognized software company seeking a resilient, motivated Lab / Test Engineer to implement and troubleshoot layer 2 devices per detailed, often complex specifications in a multi-vendor hardware environment including Cisco, Extreme, Foundry and HP network devices. Also, this individual will act as first tier of network support for resolution of customer support issues.

Day-to-day duties:

• Monitor support ticket queue and handle customer issues in a timely (and often interrupt-driven) manner
  
• Implement layer 2 network configuration per specifications
  
• Create and update diagrams and documentation
  
• Monitor and manage network issues via SolarWinds Orion
